If you're on the East Coast of US like me, you’ve probably felt the first real touch of fall in the air last week! Not only is it festive season, per Ayurveda, this is Vata season - dry, cool energy in nature and within us. When Vata is balanced, it is a beautiful time to nurture our creativity, embrace new experiences, and share our enthusiasm and energy with others! When Vata is imbalanced, it can lead to anxiety, restlessness, poor focus and overwhelm.

Here are a few simple ways to balance your energy during this season -

  • Trade in your salads and smoothies for warm, cooked food
  • Try oil massages, and calming activities like painting/coloring, gentle yoga, meditation etc.
  • Maintain a consistent routine with good sleep hygiene
